About Dayton Public Radio
WDPR 88.1 & WDPG 89.9 FM
Dayton Public Radio is a not-for-profit organization founded and staffed by people from Dayton, Ohio and surrounding
communities.
Listening Area
WDPR-FM
88.1 has been broadcasting a 24-hour
signal in Dayton since June 1998.
WDPG-FM 89.9
extends our reach to areas north and west, including Lima, Ohio,
and Fort Wayne and Richmond, Indiana, since November 1985.
Our Programming
Dayton Public Radio has become the voice for our region's
performing and fine arts organizations. The station now
broadcasts performances of:
- the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra
- the Richmond Symphony Orchestra
- the Springfield Symphony
Orchestra
- the Bach Society of Dayton
- Chamber Music Yellow Springs
In addition, WDPR-FM
88.1 and WDPG-FM 89.9 bring the rest of the world into
the Miami Valley by broadcasting high quality programs
from satellite feeds such as:
- the Metropolitan Opera
- the
Chicago Symphony
- the New York Philharmonic Orchestra
Dayton Public Radio produces the majority of its daytime
offerings (see our program
schedule) beginning at 6:00am
weekdays with Morning Concert and continuing through the afternoon and
evening with a variety of local hosts. A sample of additional locally
produced programming includes Voices, Classical Classics, The Intimate Guitar, and our arts magazine, Arts Focus.

educational, informative and emotionally stimulating.
