"The Twelve Chairs" by Ilf and Petrov. A search for a fortune in jewels sewn up in one of twelve dining chairs scattered after the Russian Revolution. What’s not to love? Second choice: The Yellow Pages. Always fascinating. Don’t tell me how it ends.

MY FAVORITE MOVIE

I have trouble narrowing it to one, or even ten, but for now I‘ll go with "Ratatouille". If you can make a movie about rats in a kitchen appetizing, you’ve really achieved something.

MY FAVORITE COMPOSER / MUSIC

Tchaikovsky and his Symphony #6 in B minor. He was the first composer to make me sit up and take notice of the classics.
